Choosing to work with a birth doula is one of the best investments you can make for your baby’s arrival, your transition to motherhood and for your entire family.

A doula is a trained non-medical professional providing emotional, informational and physical support to the birthing individual and their support partner throughout pregnancy, delivery and postpartum.
Studies show that when doulas attend births, labors are shorter with fewer complications. Other research efforts have found that parents who receive support during labor feel more secure and cared for, have improved breastfeeding initiation rates and lower incidence of postpartum depression, among other benefits.

Birth Prep is a great way to dive deeper into topics covered in your childbirth education class. During a childbirth class there is only so much time that is spent on a particular topic. Many families walk away wanting to dive deeper into their personal needs. Partner support, emotional preparation, inductions and cesareans, pain management, etc. are examples of topics that we can dive into during birth prep.
These sessions are 90 minutes long and families can book as many as it takes to feel confident, calm and informed before the big day.
